George Puce

George Puce (actually Juris Pūce; born December 29, 1940 in Jelgava ) is a former Canadian discus thrower and shot putter of Latvian origin.

In 1965 he won bronze in the discus throw at the Universiade . At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston in 1966 , he won silver in the discus throw and bronze in the shot put. The following year he won bronze in the discus throw at the Pan American Games in Winnipeg in 1967 and came fourth in the shot put.

At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, he was eliminated in qualifying discus. In 1970 he won this discipline at the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh .

In 1966, 1968 and 1969 he was Canadian champion in discus throw.
