Georges Louis Ruedin

Georges Louis Ruedin (born September 3, 1870 in Corgémont , † 1935 in Reconvilier ) was a Swiss watch manufacturer in the Bernese Jura from the watch manufacturer family Ruedin .

Life

After entering the watchmaking trade in the factory of his father Jämes Ruedin in Corgémont (which belonged to the Robert Group ), Ruedin, like his two brothers Jämes jun. and Henri independently. In 1897, he and Léon Maître founded the watch factory Maître Frères et Ruedin in Le Noirmont . But as early as 1900 the business partners separated and Ruedin continued to run the company himself under the name of Georges Ruedin until he was offered the direction of the Société Horlogère Reconvilier ( Reconvilier Watch Co ) in 1902 . He held this position until his death and left his sons André and Jean-Robert a prosperous company. From 1928 he was also the sole director of the Reconvilier watch factory.

His third son Georges founded Georges Ruedin SA .
