From 1923 to 1924 he worked at the embassy in Paris and in 1925 in Bucharest .
Kjosseiwanow was then ambassador to Greece from 1926 to 1931 . He was then ambassador to Romania for two years and then to Yugoslavia from 1933 to 1934 . Most recently he was court marshal of Tsar Boris III from 1934 to 1935 .
Minister and Prime Minister from 1935 to 1940
On April 21, 1935 he was appointed Foreign Minister by Prime Minister Andrei Toshhev .
On November 23, 1935 he was appointed Prime Minister as his successor . As such, he was in office until February 16, 1940 and thus had the longest term of office of the post-war period after Andrei Lyaptschew . During this tenure he also held the office of Foreign Minister. Kyosseivanov's cabinet was widely seen as entirely dependent on the Tsar, who ruled largely dictatorially. Nevertheless, the first elections since 1931 were held in 1938 and several National Socialist groups were banned in 1939 .
After the coup d'état of September 9, 1944, he went into exile in Switzerland .
