Career

Shashiashvili began his career as a football player in his native Georgia with Dynamo Tbilisi . After a short stopover at TSU Tbilisi, he played for Dinamo for a total of nine years. In 2005 the defender moved to Russia to Alania Wladikawkas . In July 2006, Shashiashvili moved to Chornomorets Odessa in the Ukraine . In the summer break of 2007, the defender finally moved to Austria for the Bundesliga club SK Sturm Graz . His contract is valid until the summer of 2009. The Georgian international was a regular for the Graz team straight away.

At the beginning of June 2009, SK Sturm did not take the option to extend the contract, which is why the Georgian moved to Ergotelis in Greece .
