The large lake near the former small town of Fürstenwerder in the municipality of Nordwestuckermark is an inland lake belonging to the Uckermark Lakes in the district of Uckermark , Brandenburg . Its north and west banks form the border with Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It has a maximum length of around 3.7 kilometers and a maximum width of 1.8 kilometers.

It is traversed by the Köhntop , whose upper course in Mecklenburg bears the little-known names Hechtgraben and (from the Woldegker Stadtsee ) Dieckgraben . It flows from the Großer See on the northern edge of the village of Fürstenwerder a few hundred meters east to the neighboring Dammsee and from there to the Wolfshagener Haussee it is mostly called Landgraben .

The lake is a highly structured, eutrophic clear water lake and has two distinct bays on the north bank, which are separated by the Scheunenwerder peninsula . The southern part of the lake is separated from the northern part by the Eichwerder peninsula . In the northern part there are four smaller islands.
