Georgina Helen Henley (born July 9, 1995 in Ilkley , West Yorkshire , England ; as Georgina Helen Henley ) is a British film and stage actress . She became known as Lucy Pevensie in the film adaptations of the novel series The Chronicles of Narnia .

Life and career

Georgie Henley grew up in the small town of Ilkley in Northern England, where she took part in theater performances at her school at the age of five and joined the Upstagers theater group there . When her drama teacher found out about the casting call for The Chronicles of Narnia: The King of Narnia , he encouraged her to attend. She was ultimately selected for one of the four main roles from over 2,000 applicants. In the film she played the role of Lucy, the youngest of the four children. In the same role she also played in the sequels of the film series , The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian of Narnia and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn with. Her older sister Rachael Henley played the adult Lucy Pevensie in the first part of the film series.

In January 2006 Henley was in her hometown Ilkley in the play Babes in the Wood as "Jill" on the stage. In 2006 she starred as the young Jane Eyre in the film adaptation of the novel Jane Eyre , a TV mini-series for the BBC .

In 2014 the films Perfect Sisters and The Sisterhood of Night with Henley in the lead role were released, with her role in The Sisterhood of Night in particular receiving very positive reviews. Her next film followed in 2017 with Access All Areas .
