Gerald Kilmartin
Gerald Walsh Kilmartin (born July 7, 1926 in Providence , Rhode Island , † June 17, 1970 ibid) was an American ice hockey player .
Career
Gerald Kilmartin attended Bryant College , for whose ice hockey team he played parallel to his studies. Then he played in addition to his national team career in amateur ice hockey. He later worked as a businessman. On June 15, 1970, he was attacked by a stranger and died two days later from his injuries.
International
For the United States , Kilmartin took part in the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo , where he and his team won the silver medal. He was also in his country's squad at the World Championships in 1947 and 1949 . At the 1949 World Cup he won the bronze medal with the USA.
