Gerald Turek (born July 9, 1979 ) is an Austrian MMA fighter who is currently competing in the heavyweight division . His nickname is Geri.

biography

Turek started bodybuilding at the age of 16 . He also played tennis for eight years . It was not until he was 20 that he came into contact with MMA and began to train at the Fox-GYM in Vienna. He also learned boxing , Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu .

Turek has been a professional since 2004, but his big breakthrough came after beating the top 5 heavyweight from Germany Andreas Kraniotakes . The fight was also shown in a report on RTL II . Now Turek is facing his first title fight. He meets the multiple champion Agim Abdullahu on November 21, 2010 in the "Cage Fight Series" and fights with him for the Cagefight Series heavyweight title.

He trains with Nandor Guelmino under Andreas Stockmann .
