Andreas Stockmann

Andreas Stockmann (born June 9, 1962 in Dessau ) is a German MMA trainer and the head of the FFA . He was also a successful jiu-jitsu fighter and professional MMA fighter , as well as an artist.

biography

Stockmann began to train judo (1st Kyū ) at the age of six . He then also trained wrestling , karate (1st Kyū), Ju-Jutsu (1st Kyū), Muay Thai , Jiu-Jitsu , Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu , grappling and mixed martial arts . He became a member of the Shidokan karate national team and the German Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu national team. He was also a professional MMA fighter. Stockmann has trainer licenses in karate, kiu-kitsu, grappling, mixed martial arts and self-defense. At the FFA , he is the training manager and, among other things, responsible for training instructors and judges.

After successfully completing the Polytechnic High School and an apprenticeship as a construction machinist, he joined a special unit of the NVA . There he became a close combat instructor. While still in the army, he broke away from the GDR regime, applied for an exit visa and tried to escape to the US embassy . Later they managed to escape through the forests of the ČSSR to Germany.

From 1989 to 2000 he was self-employed as a bodyguard, security advisor and self-defense trainer for industrial and security companies. He has been a full-time martial arts trainer since 2001 and had his own martial arts school in Ulm until 2005 . He is currently working as a trainer at the Iron Fist Gym in Vienna, where he acts as head coach in the Stockmann team for the Austrian MMA fighters Gerald Turek and Nandor Guelmino . He is also the President of the FFA.

In 1999 Stockmann became German runner-up in Kyokushinkai Karate, in 1993, 1997 and 1998 German master in mixed martial arts and full contact Jiu-Jitsu, and in 1994 and 1998 European champion in these disciplines. In 2003 he reached third place at the German Championships in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Based on the statistics of the German fights within the MMA scene, he was honored in 2003 as the most successful MMA trainer in Germany.
