Gerd Baum

Gerd Baum (born September 7, 1924 ) is a former German soccer player . From 1950 to 1958, the defender played 90 league games as an active member of SSV Reutlingen in the southern football league. Previously he was active for Reutlingen in the Oberliga Südwest .

Gerd Baum moved from Sportfreunde Stuttgart to SSV Reutlingen 05 in 1948 . In the 1949/50 season he was with Reutlingen in the group south of the Oberliga Südwest relay champion and southwest German runner-up after a final defeat against 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the southwest German championship finals. In the final round of the German championship in 1950, Gerd Baum lost to SSV in the round of 16 to Prussia Dellbrück 0-1 in overtime. In the 1950/51 season he rose after a change of association in the Oberliga Süd with SSV Reutlingen in the II. Division . In the 1953/54 season he was promoted to the Oberliga Süd with the Reutlingen team. After Gerd Baum was runner-up with SSV the following season in the Oberliga Süd, he failed with his team in the qualifying round of the final round of the 1955 German championship at SV Sodingen and Wormatia Worms . After relegated in the 1955/56 league season , Gerd Baum rose again directly with SSV Reutlingen in the following season .
