Gerd Gombert
Gerd Gombert (born October 1, 1935 in Penzlin ; † November 28, 1993 in Neustrelitz ) was a German painter .
After graduating from high school, Gombert studied art education at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University in Greifswald from 1954 to 1959. He then worked as an art teacher at the extended high school Clara Zetkin (today: Carolinum grammar school ) until 1978 . After the end of his teaching career, he worked as a freelance painter and graphic artist. His studio was on Neustrelitz Töpferstrasse. In addition, he was the head of a drawing circle in the Neustrelitzer Kulturhaus . From 1979 to 1984 he was head of the painting / graphics department of the Association of Visual Artists in Neubrandenburg , of which he had been a member since 1965.
