Gerd Regitz

Gerd Regitz (born May 3, 1945 ) is a former German football player .

The defensive player began his career in 1965 at Borussia Neunkirchen . He made his debut on January 28, 1966 in the league team in the 0-3 defeat at Hamburger SV. In his first professional season , Regitz rose with Borussia in the then second-class Regionalliga Südwest . He came on 9 missions for Neunkirchen. In the 1966/67 season , he and his team managed to return directly to the Bundesliga . Even in his second Bundesliga season Regitz could not hold the class with Neunkirchen. This season he came to 29 missions. For Borussia Neunkirchen he played 29 Bundesliga games and 6 games in the DFB Cup . In total, he came to 38 Bundesliga games. After relegation Regitz played one more season in the Regionalliga Südwest. In 1970 he moved to VfB Stuttgart . With the Swabians, Regitz came to 28 Bundesliga appearances in the next two seasons, in which he scored his only Bundesliga goal. He was also used four times in the DFB Cup
