Gerd Wohlleben

Gerd Wohlleben (born December 2, 1902 in Cologne , † December 27, 1972 in Ingelheim am Rhein ) was a German politician ( FDP ).

Wohlleben studied law and then worked in Gleiwitz (Silesia) in a machine factory. After the outbreak of World War II, he moved to Mainz . From 1949 to 1972 he was a lawyer with his own law firm in Ingelheim.

Gerd Wohlleben participated as an active athlete and sports functionary in the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin and in the 1953 German Gymnastics Festival in Hamburg. From 1938 to 1940 he was a member of the NS-Reichsbund for physical exercises (member of the gymnastics club Vorwärts Gleiwitz). From 1949 to 1956 he was 2nd chairman of the Rheinhessischer Turnerbund; 1st chairman from 1958 to 1969.

After the Second World War he became a member of the Liberal Party. On behalf of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Gouvernement Militaire en Allemagne, he was in charge of denazification. On April 20, 1948 he received the decision of the state commissioner for political cleansing (Koblenz) who were not affected

From 1948 to 1969 he was a member of the Ingelheim city council. In the first electoral period he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament for the FDP from 1947 to 1951 . In the state parliament he was chairman of the petitions committee (until October 12, 1950), from late 1949 / early 1950 he was chairman of the legal committee and from October 12, 1950 of the legal, rules of procedure and petitions committee. In 1954 he was a member of the 2nd Federal Assembly .
