Gerhard Bürkle

Gerhard Bürkle (born April 11, 1944 in Tübingen ) is a German business graduate.

In 1963 Bürkle passed the Abitur at the Karlsgymnasium in Stuttgart . After a bank apprenticeship at Volksbank Stuttgart , he studied business administration at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and finished this course with a degree in business administration. He then worked as a lecturer at the Württemberg Cooperative Academy in Hohenheim , as an examination assistant and as an association auditor at the Württemberg Cooperative Association and at the Institute for International Solidarity of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in the supervision of cooperative projects in Indonesia and Malaysia . From 1977 to 1980 he headed the executive secretariat of the Württemberg Cooperative Association. In 1980 he became CEO of Volksbank Tübingen . In 1984 he became director of the association and the following year he became spokesman of the board of the Bavarian Cooperative Association , which merged with the Bavarian Raiffeisen Association in 1989 . After the merger he was the association director and deputy chairman of the board of the Bavarian cooperative association . From 1986 until its dissolution, he was a member of the Bavarian Senate .
