Gerhard Berge
Gerhard Berge (born April 13, 1926 in Leipzig ; † April 18, 2006 ) was a German pianist .
Berge studied at the Leipzig Music Academy . Berge worked there as a piano teacher until 1953 and then at the Halle (Saale) music school . When this was closed, he moved to the "Carl Maria von Weber" University of Music in Dresden . In 1965 he acquired the title of professor. From 1979 to 1982 he was visiting professor at the Musashino Academia Musicae near Tokyo .
Berge died in 2006 and was buried in the Loschwitz cemetery in Dresden.
