Gerhard Dannemann

Gerhard Dannemann (born June 2, 1959 in Essen ) is a German lawyer .

In 1984 he passed the first state examination at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg . After the second state examination in 1988, he worked there for three years as a research assistant ; In 1993 he received his doctorate under Hans Stoll on the subject of compensation in the event of violation of the European Convention on Human Rights .

From 1991 he taught German law at British universities. From 1997 to 2002 he was Erich Brost University Lecturer in German Civil and Commercial Law at the University of Oxford .

Since 2003 he has been Professor of English Law and British Economics and Politics at the Humboldt University in Berlin . From 2010 to 2011 he headed the UK Center there .

Gerhard Dannemann is the founder and editor-in-chief of the Oxford University Comparative Law Forum. Dannemann also participates in VroniPlag Wiki , a wiki in which university publications are checked for plagiarism.
