Gerhard Ebert
Gerhard Ebert (born September 20, 1930 in Glauchau ) is a German journalist , theater scholar , theater critic and playwright .
Life
After graduating from high school and an apprenticeship as a typesetter, Ebert began studying theater studies at the German Theater Institute in Weimar in 1951. From 1955 to 1961 he was the theater editor for the weekly newspaper Sonntag . He then worked until 1963 as a senior assistant at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin . After that he was deputy director at the State Drama School in Berlin until 1981. When it was converted to the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin in 1981, Ebert became an associate professor there and from 1981 to 1988 he was also the first prorector . He taught as a lecturer in the theory and history of theater until it was "wound up" in 1992.
1977 Ebert was at the Humboldt University of Berlin to Dr. phil. PhD. His dissertation dealt with the subject of improvisation as an element of the basic training of actors in acting methodology .
