Gerhard Engelmann (local history researcher)

Gerhard Engelmann (born October 16, 1894 in Pirna ; † September 16, 1987 in Hoppenrade ) was a German geographer and local researcher who presented several publications on the Vogtland , Saxon Switzerland , the Eastern Ore Mountains and the Potsdam area , including some hiking books .

Engelmann was a teacher and teacher in Plauen and lecturer in geography at the Potsdam University of Education . He was a member of the Vogtland Antiquities Research Association in Hohenleuben .
