Gerhard Gaude

Gerhard Gaude (born January 26, 1925 in Buckow ; † September 14, 2011 ) was a German functionary of the GDR block party DBD . He was chairman of the DBD district board in Leipzig .

Life

Gaude, a farm worker by profession, became a member of the NSDAP in 1943 . After the Second World War he was relocated to the Soviet occupation zone . He joined the DBD in 1950 and became deputy head of the cadre department in the party executive committee of the DBD. From September 1959 he worked under the code name "Robert" as an unofficial employee (IM) for the Leipzig branch of the Ministry for State Security (MfS). From 1963 to 1972 he acted as secretary or deputy chairman of the DBD district board in Leipzig. A study of agricultural sciences , he completed a degree in agricultural economics from. Gaude was from 1968 to 1990 member of the party executive committee of the DBD. From 1971 to 1990 he was a member of the Leipzig District Assembly. From March 1972 to 1990 he was the successor to Helmut Merke as chairman of the DBD district board in Leipzig. At the same time he was deputy chairman of the DSF district executive board.

Gaude died at the age of 86 and was buried in the Wurzen cemetery.
