Gerhard Kroll (politician)
Gerhard Kroll (* 20th August 1910 in Breslau , † 10. November 1963 in Jerusalem ) was a German politician of the CSU .
Life
In 1945 Kroll was a co-founder of the CSU in Bamberg. The CSU's “Bamberg Memorandum” was co-authored in 1946. From 1946 to 1948 Kroll was District Administrator of Staffelstein . From 1946 to 1950, Kroll also sat in the Bavarian state parliament . In 1948/1949 he was a member of the Parliamentary Council and worked vehemently, but unsuccessfully, for the introduction of relative majority voting. From 1949 to 1951 Kroll was head of the Institute for Research into National Socialism (today: Institute for Contemporary History , Munich). Furthermore, he was editor of the magazine Neues Abendland from 1951, 1951 co-founder of the Occidental Action and the Occidental Academy Munich-Eichstätt.
