Gerhard Mayr
Gerhard "Gerry" Mayr (born May 24, 1965 in Konstanz ) is a German extreme athlete . He holds several records and several entries in the Guinness Book of Records .
Life
Mayr completed his training as a two-wheel mechanic in 1989 with the master's examination. Until the vocational training center of the Chamber of Crafts moved to Singen, he was an elected member of the master craftsman and journeyman's examination committee . In 1989 he founded “Funbike Zweiradleih” and in 1990 he started his own motorcycle shop. In addition, he designed motorcycles and scooters, from 2010 light air sports equipment and paraglider drives. Some of these prototypes were also used for world records. On October 14, 2013 he passed the exam to become an examiner for air sports equipment .
He has also been working as a freelance journalist since 2009.

- 2002: Circumnavigation of the Mediterranean with a 250 cc scooter, 14,000 km in 2 months.
- 2003: With a 150 cm³ quad from Lake Constance via Moscow and Saint Petersburg to the North Cape , 10,000 km at temperatures as low as −35 ° C.
