Gerhard Praschak (* 1951 in Traismauer ; † April 26, 1997 in Vienna ) was an Austrian bank manager (director of the Kontrollbank ). The recordings he had sent to various media and political parties before his suicide in April 1997 about political influence over positions in the banking sector and alleged tax evasion caused a sensation.
