Gerhard R. Kaiser

Gerhard R. Kaiser (* 1943 in Mainz ) is a German specialist in German .

Kaiser studied literature in Tübingen and Mainz and was established in 1971 with a dissertation on Proust , Musil and Joyce Dr. phil. PhD.

From 1973 to 1993 he was Professor of Comparative Literature with a focus on Modern German Literature at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen , and from 1993 to 2008 Professor of Modern German Literature / Comparative Literature at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena . In 2002 he was visiting professor at the Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris.
