Gerhard Roever

Gerhard Roever (born October 7, 1922 in Bad Oldesloe , Holstein ; † December 25, 2000 in Berlin ) was a German functionary of the GDR block party LDPD . He was chairman of the LDPD district committee Schwerin .

Life

Roever, son of a businessman, attended elementary and commercial school. He completed an apprenticeship in administration. Roever joined the NSDAP in 1941 . He took part in the Second World War and became a prisoner of war .

After 1945 he joined the Liberal Democratic Party of Germany (LDPD). In 1951 he was first chairman of the LDPD district association Schwerin and in 1952 first deputy chairman of the LDPD district association Schwerin-Stadt of the LDPD. From 1953 to 1955 he worked as chairman of the Lübz district association and then from 1955 to 1957 as chairman of the Schwerin-Land district association of the LDPD. From 1957 to 1959 he was secretary of the LDPD district association Schwerin, then from 1959 to 1961 finally first chairman of the LDPD district committee Schwerin of the LDPD. From 1961 he was an employee of the central board of the LDPD. He graduated with a degree in state science. He became the district councilor for trade and supply of the council of the Berlin-Treptow district , then temporarily deputy to the district mayor. He was a member of the Berlin-Treptow district assembly and later a district councilor for local utilities. Roever last lived as a veteran in Berlin.

He died at the age of 78 and was buried in the Georgen-Parochial-Friedhof II .
