Manfred Gritzko

Manfred Gritzko (born May 19, 1925 in Mehlauken , Labiau district , East Prussia ; † August 9, 2015 ) was a German functionary of the GDR block party LDPD . He was chairman of the LDPD district committee Schwerin .

Life

Gritzko attended middle school and later a finance school. On April 20, 1943, he joined the NSDAP . In 1945 he moved to the Soviet occupation zone . From 1946 to 1958 he worked in the field of financial policy, including as head of the Güstrow district inspection of the state financial audit department. He completed a distance learning course at the technical college for finance in Gotha , which he graduated as a finance economist in 1957.

In 1948 Gritzko joined the LDPD. From 1958 to 1966 he was the plant manager of the Mecklenburg bed spring factory in Güstrow . At times he was chairman of the Güstrow district board of the LDPD. From 1966 to 1983 he worked as deputy chairman, from September 1983 as chairman of the Schwerin district committee of the LDPD. After the death of Bruno Krüger, Gritzko was elected as the new chairman of the LDPD district association on September 15, 1983 in the presence of the chairman of the LDPD, Manfred Gerlach . On September 27, 1983 he became a member of the central executive committee of the LDPD.

Gritzko was also a member of the Schwerin District Assembly and, from 1971, chairman of the Standing Commission for Services, Repairs and Maintenance of the District Assembly . From June 1986 until its dissolution in 1990 he was again a member of the district assembly.

Manfred Gritzko died at the age of 90 and was buried in the Schwerin forest cemetery.
