Gerhard Schulze (politician, 1939)

Gerhard Schulze (born October 13, 1939 in Bad Bevensen ; † January 30, 2015 ) was a German local politician ( CDU ).

Life

The son of a farmer who died in World War II completed his training as a state-certified farmer at the Georgsanstalt in Ebstorf and the Higher Agricultural School in Herford after graduating from secondary school and completing a two-year agricultural apprenticeship . After passing the master craftsman's examination, Schulze took over his parents' farm in 1965. In 1968 he was elected to the Rosch municipal council as a member of the local CDU association he co-founded and immediately became deputy mayor and chairman of the CDU parliamentary group.

From 1972 to 1986 Schulze served as mayor of the newly founded joint municipality of Rosche. In 1976 he was elected to the Uelzen district council . The focus of his work was the expansion of the infrastructure and education policy.

In 1986 Schulze was elected district administrator for the Uelzen district and held this office after three re-elections until 2004.

In addition, Schulze was for many years chairman of the district council in the Uelzen district.
