Gerhard Schwarz (philosopher)

Gerhard Schwarz (born October 6, 1937 in Vienna ) is an Austrian university lecturer , philosopher , group dynamics trainer , social scientist and publicist .

Life

After studying natural sciences , theology and philosophy , he received his doctorate with a thesis on humor and love .

After ten years as an assistant , he qualified as a professor in 1969 for philosophy at the University of Vienna and in 1979 for group dynamics at the University of Klagenfurt . Since 1970, Schwarz has worked as a private lecturer at universities and as a freelance consultant, conflict manager, trainer and researcher.

He brings the philosophy of religion , about which he has read several times in Vienna and Klagenfurt, into connection with the questions that arise in conflicts and developments in organizations: the meaning of life and organization, self-determination in and outside of hierarchies , what is true and when is a decision right?

He moderated several television programs on ORF .

Gerhard Schwarz has been working in the areas of organizational development, group dynamics, conflict management, multi-dimensional root cause research and cross-cultural projects since the early 1960s.

He is a consultant for various companies. Of his many publications, his book "The" Holy Order "of Men" was particularly well received.
