Gerhard Weibold (born March 13, 1951 in Vienna ) is an Austrian entrepreneur and university lecturer .

Life

Gerhard Weibold passed the school leaving examination (1971) at the Handelsakademie I in Vienna. After completing his military service in Lower Austria, he completed his business studies at the Vienna University of Economics , graduating with a master's degree (1976) and a doctorate (1978) with a doctorate in social and economic sciences. His dissertation was devoted to a special problem of financial mathematical investment calculation.

After graduating, he worked for more than twelve years at the Vienna University of Economics as a contract, university and senior assistant as well as a university lecturer . During this time, he held around 2,500 self-responsible or jointly responsible courses. In the university college and in the specialist group commission for business administration, he performed the function of a mid-level representative. In addition, he was a lecturer in the university course for the insurance industry at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and in the university course for market and opinion research at the University of Vienna. He was also engaged as a lecturer at the Vienna Advertising Academy and the Austrian Academy for Executives. He has the professional title of "Professor".

Weibold founded companies for management consulting and information technology, which mainly dealt with the conception and implementation of marketing and software systems for the automotive, banking and insurance industries in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. Two of his companies were awarded the main innovation prize “Mercur” (1997 and 2001) from the Vienna Chamber of Commerce . He later turned his focus to the topic of "Financial Education" and launched initiatives for non-interest-independent financial education. These online education portals are aimed at young people and adults in Austria and Germany.

Gerhard Weibold lives and works in Vienna, he is married and has a daughter and a son.
