Bornheimerberg Court

The Bornheimerberg court was a court in the HRR that was responsible for most of the Bornheimerberg office. From 1821 it was continued as the Bornheimer Berg Regional Court and in 1831 merged with the Bergen Justice Office and the Bockenheim Justice Office .

In the Grand Duchy of Frankfurt

In contrast to the other Napoleonic model states (see the judiciary in the Kingdom of Westphalia ), the separation of jurisdiction and administration in the Grand Duchy of Frankfurt was not introduced. According to the constitution of 1810, the highest organizational patent of the constitution of the Grand Duchy of Frankfurt , the previous courts remained in place for the time being .

Bornheimerberg District Court

With the restitution of the Electorate of Hesse, the old court structures were restored.

With an edict of June 29, 1821, administration and justice were separated in Kurhessen. Now judicial offices were responsible for the first instance jurisdiction, the administration was taken over by the districts . In Bergen, however, the court was not called the Justice Office, but the Bornheimer Berg Regional Court . In 1831 the regional court was dissolved and divided into the Bergen Justice Office and the Bockenheim Justice Office .

The higher court for the province of Hanau with its seat in Hanau acted as court of second instance .
