Germain Ifedi (* 2. June 1994 in Houston , Texas ) is an American American football poker players. He is currently under contract with the Chicago Bears in the National Football League (NFL).

college

Ifedi played college football at Texas A&M University between 2013 and 2015 . In his first season for the Aggies he started in all 13 games, in 2014 he missed two games due to a knee injury and started in just 11 games. In 2015 he played again in all 13 games.

NFL

Ifedi was selected as the 31st first-round player by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2016 NFL Draft . There he trained on the position of right guard . Germain Ifedi was one of the worst offensive linemen in the league in his rookie season. He allowed pressure on the quarterback 38 times in just 12 games (fourth worst value for Guards). In 2017 he started in all 16 games. He was noticed negatively because he was the player with the most rule violations. He caused 20 penalties, 16 of which were accepted. During the season he produced nine false starts, eight holdings, twice he used unnecessary hardship and once he behaved unsportingly. In 2019, he played in every offensive snap, inflicting 14 assumed penalties. His contract was subsequently not renewed and he signed a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears .
