Gern II was a municipality in the Eggenfelden district .

It consisted of the 21 locations Aichner , Au , Buchner , Gall , Grub , Hochwimm , Holzhäuseln , Holzner , Krapfenberg , Lichtlberg , Murauer , Rackersbach , Reisl , Reiter , Rushäusl , Schildmannsberg , Schnellberg , Stock , Taschnerhof , Thal and Unterdax. In 1961 the community had 252 inhabitants and an area of ​​482.48 hectares . The parish seat at that time was in Oberdax . The community was formed from the places in the tax district of Gern that did not belong to the closed patrimonial court of Gern. On January 1, 1946, the community was dissolved and almost completely incorporated into Gern I , only Ober- and Unterdax came to the community of Herbertsfelden . On December 29, 1947, the areas were returned to the municipality. In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria , the community was dissolved in 1972 and incorporated into the communities of Eggenfelden and Herbertsfelden.
