Gerrit Bartsch (born November 1, 1989 in Gengenbach ) is a former German handball player and today's coach . In the Bundesliga he was active for TuS N-Lübbecke .
Career
Bartsch started playing handball at TuS Schutterwald at the age of twelve . Here he was mainly used in the back center position and at the age of 17 in the top division. In 2008 he moved to the regional league team LiT Handball Nordhemmern / Mindenerwald and in December received the second game right for the second division TuS N-Lübbecke, with whom he was able to celebrate promotion to the Bundesliga at the end of the season. After a few operating times, he moved back to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2010, however, to GWD Minden , where he was mainly used as a left winger, but was mainly used in the reserve team. With Minden he rose again to the Bundesliga, but moved to the third division at HSG Konstanz . After a disappointing year, he asked to terminate his contract and joined TV 08 Willstätt . In 2015 Bartsch decided to end his career in order to concentrate on his studies and his professional future. In November 2016 he made a comeback for three games at his home club TuS Schutterwald, where he is also the youth coordinator and also trains some of the club's youth teams.
Private
Bartsch has been married since July 2016. In the same year he completed his studies in business administration with a bachelor's degree and is a content marketing expert with his own company.
