Gerrit Bos

Gerrit Bos (born July 8, 1948 in Apeldoorn ) is a Dutch Judaist .

Life

From 1993 to 1996 he was a tutor for Jewish studies at Leo Baeck College . From 1996 to 1997 he was a lecturer at the Institute for Hebrew and Jewish Studies, University College London . From 1997 to 2013 he taught as professor for Jewish studies at the Martin Buber Institute for Jewish Studies at the University of Cologne .

His main research interests are the medieval Jewish-Islamic sciences, in particular medicine, medieval Hebrew and Judeo-Arabic.
