Fleetwood Ernest Varley (born October 11, 1862 in London , † March 26, 1936 there ) was a British marksman .
successes
Fleetwood Varley took part in the Olympic Games in London in 1908 and in Stockholm in 1912 . With the army rifle, he was part of the British team in 1908, which finished second over six different distances behind the United States and ahead of Canada. In addition to Varley, Arthur Fulton , Harcourt Ommundsen , Walter Padgett , Philip Richardson and John Martin also wonthe silver medal. With 423 points, he was the team's second best shooter. Four years later he completed the individual competition with the army rifle at 600 m with 81 points in 27th place. He finished the three-position fight over 300 m in 50th place.
