Sir Philip Wigham Richardson, 1st Baron Weybridge , OBE (born January 26, 1865 in Newcastle , † November 23, 1953 in Weybridge ) was a British marksman , officer and politician .

Philip Richardson took part in the Olympic Games in London in 1908 and in Stockholm in 1912 . With the army rifle, he was part of the British team in 1908, which finished second over six different distances behind the United States and ahead of Canada. In addition to Richardson, Arthur Fulton , Harcourt Ommundsen , Walter Padgett , Fleetwood Varley and John Martin also won the silver medal. With 413 points he was the fourth best shooter on the team. Four years later he completed the individual competition with the army rifle at 600 m with 79 points in 33rd place. He finished the three-position fight over 300 m in 65th place.

For his services, he was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire on June 4, 1921 , and knighted bachelor's degree on September 20, 1921 , so that from then on he led to the suffix "Sir". In 1929 he was given the hereditary title of Baronet , of Weybridge in the County of Surrey . Richardson was a lieutenant colonel in the British Army and from 1922 to 1931 as a Conservative Party politician, MP in the House of Commons, representing Chertseys .
