Gerrit Meinke (born September 14, 1967 ) is a former German football player who, in the course of his career, a. a. was active for VfL Osnabrück in the 2nd Bundesliga .

Career

Until July 1989 Meinke played for TuRa Grönenberg Melle from the Osnabrück district . Here he played u. a. with football commentator Tom Bartels in the fifth highest amateur league. He then moved to Arminia Bielefeld , for whom he was active for three years in the Oberliga Westfalen. In the summer of 1992 he signed with VfL Osnabrück and played one season in the 2nd Bundesliga. With 14 goals in 45 of 46 possible appearances, he was Osnabrück's top scorer, but could not prevent the club's relegation to the third division and was given to SC Verl , for which he was in the Oberliga Westfalen until the summer of 1996 (1993/94 season) respectively in the Regionalliga West / Südwest (season 1994/95 (27 games, 11 goals) and 1995/96 (26 games, 7 goals)) was active. This was followed by three years at Wuppertaler SV in the Regionalliga West / Südwest, and one year at SC Paderborn , before Meinke ended his career at the age of 32. He scored 41 goals in 151 regional league games.

After the end of his career, Gerrit Meinke was employed as Head of Finance for Controlling at the second division club SC Paderborn and at the same time assistant to his former teammate Tom Bartels. Meinke moved to Bielefeld for the 2013/2014 season, where he became the managing director of Arminia Bielefeld's stadium company. After Marcus Uhlig resigned from the management of Arminia Bielefeld on August 31, 2015, Meinke became the sole managing director of Arminia Bielefeld on September 1, 2015. On December 28, 2017, Gerrit Meinke was released from Arminia Bielefeld.
