Gerrit Willem van Blaaderen (born June 18, 1873 in Nieuwer-Amstel , † September 10, 1935 in Bergen (North Holland) ) was a Dutch landscape painter.

Van Blaaderen lived in the United States from 1892 to 1894 . From 1894 to 1895 he began his painter studies at the School voor Kunstnijverheid (School of Applied Art) in Haarlem with Hendrik Hulk and Willem Ferdinand Abraham Isaac Vaarzon Morel.

In 1899 he moved back to his hometown of Nieuwer-Amstel. From 1901 to 1902 he studied for a year at the Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten in Antwerp under the supervision of Johan Braakensiek.

Blaaderen became a member of " Arti et Amicitiae " in Amsterdam. From 1903 to 1906 he lived in the Laren artists' colony (North Holland) . In 1906 he visited Italy. In 1908 he settled in Samois-sur-Seine , in the same year he came to the artist colony Het Gooi , where he stayed until 1918. From 1918 until the end of his life he stayed in Bergen in North Holland. In 1911 and 1919 he visited Samois-sur-Seine again.

Van Blaaderen was an admirer of Paul Cézanne . He was also influenced by the painter Ferdinand Hart Nibbrig .
