Gert G. von Harling

Gert G. von Harling (born June 6, 1945 in Celle ) is a German hunting writer .

life and work

Gert von Harling grew up on a forest estate in Feuerschützenbostel near Celle in the Lüneburg Heath . After training as a banker and long trips abroad, von Harling worked as an editor for the Paul Parey publishing house and was editor of the hunting magazine Wild und Hund for ten years . Today von Harling lives as a freelance writer and organizer of hunting trips in Lüneburg . He is one of the most productive German hunting writers and, with more than 40 book publications, he says he is the most widely read author of contemporary German-language hunting literature. One of his most successful books is The Magic of the Wild, first published in 1998 . Stalking through the hunting year , which saw several editions and, like some other works by Harlings, also received translations into other languages.
