Gerty Godden
Gerty Godden , also Gerti Godden , Gerti von Reichenhall and Gerty von Reichenhall , (born September 3, 1905 in Berlin ; born Rosina Hecht , † August 4, 1961 in Munich ) was a German singer , actress and cabaret artist .
Live and act
She met the actor Rudi Godden in 1934 and performed with him. In 1935 both were members of the cabaret Die Acht Unfesselten . In 1937 he married Rudi Godden, who died in 1941.
After the war she was back on stage and acted in several films. Godden opened a fashion salon in Munich. Only two songs by her have survived on shellac records: I am tired and Always when it rains (1942).
