Gertrud Bredel (born February 19, 1920 † April 6, 1999 in Bad Kreuznach ) was a German amateur actress .
She gained fame through her authentic embodiment of the role of Katharina Simon in the 1981/82 first season Heimat - Eine deutsche Chronik des Hunsrück -Epos Heimat by Edgar Reitz .
