Gertrud Meili-Dworetzki

Gertrud Meili (* 1912 in Danzig ; † April 9, 1995 in Bern ) was a Swiss psychologist .

Life

For a year she attended lectures by Horkheimer and Adorno, Mannheim and Tillich in Frankfurt. After that, after 1933, she studied psychology in Bern and Geneva. Meili obtained her doctorate and has dealt with the connection between psychology and philosophy in numerous specialist articles and books . After her husband Richard Meili, with whom she had two sons, was appointed to the chair of psychology at Bern University in 1949, she became his assistant. She also translated from English and French.
