Gertrude Wilhelmsen
Gertrude Wilhelmsen ( Johanna Freda Gertrude Wilhelmsen, née Stelling; born January 16, 1913 in Puyallup , Washington ; † March 19, 2005 ibid.) Was an American discus and javelin thrower .
At the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, she was eighth in the discus throw and seventh in the javelin throw .
After her athletics career, she played softball with the Tacoma Tigerettes.
