Gervasius Jenamy
Gervasius Jenamy (born January 11, 1730 in Vienna , † July 31, 1806 in Linz ) was an Austrian Jesuit . His older brother Wilhelm Jenamy (1726–1784) was also a Jesuit.
Life
Gervase Jenamy was born in Vienna on 11 January 1730 and taught at the Jesuit Order of Leoben , Graz and Passau , before, after the abolition of the Jesuit order in 1773, rector of Linz was Jesuit seminary. In Linz he also appeared as the confessor of the Ursulines . In addition, he translated the work “Virginia, a beautiful Romanesque story” by Father Marin, which was published in Linz in two volumes, from French into German . Jenamy died on July 31, 1806 at the age of 76 in Linz; his brother had died over 22 years earlier.
