The Getz Ice Shelf is an Antarctic ice shelf that is over 480 kilometers long and between 32 and 96 kilometers wide. It borders the Hobbs and Bakutis coasts of Marie-Byrd-Land between McDonald Heights and the Martin Peninsula . Several large islands such as Dean Island and Grant Island are partially or completely embedded in the ice.

The part of the tablet that is west of Siple Island was discovered in December 1940 during the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939-1941). The eastern part was first mapped from aerial photos taken during Operation Highjump from 1946 to 1947. The entire panel was mapped by the United States Geological Survey based on Navy aerial photographs from 1962 to 1965. It was named by the USAS after George F. Getz from Chicago , who had helped with the procurement of the seaplane for the expedition.
