Gholamreza Mohammadi ( Persian غلامرضا محمدی, Born December 18, 1970 in Khorramabad ) is an Iranian freestyle wrestler . He was a participant in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta .

Career

The tech-savvy Mohammadi got off to a good start at the Olympic Summer Games in Atlanta and reached the semifinals in the "flyweight (52 kg)", losing significantly to the later Olympic runner-up, Namig Abdullajew from Azerbaijan , after a carelessness. He finished fifth at the end of the tournament.

Gholamreza Mohammadi celebrated his greatest international success at the wrestling world championships . He won two silver medals at the 1993 World Wrestling Championships in Toronto and the 1995 World Wrestling Championships in Atlanta, and two bronze medals at the 1994 World Wrestling Championships in Istanbul and the 1998 World Wrestling Championships in Tehran .
