Gholamreza Pahlavi (born May 15, 1923 in Tehran , † May 7, 2017 in Paris ) was an Iranian general .

Life

Gholamreza Pahlavi was the son of Reza Shah Pahlavi and his third wife Turan Amir Soleimani. His half-brothers were Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and Ali Reza; his half-sisters were Ashraf Pahlavi and Shams Pahlavi , who come from the second marriage of Reza Shah Pahlavi with Tadj ol-Molouk . Pahlavi graduated from Princeton University . He then completed military training in Iran. In 1955 he became a member of the International Olympic Committee. He was President of the National Olympic Committee of Iran . Gholamreza Pahlavi lived in France since the Iranian Revolution in 1979.

His first marriage was from 1947 to 1956 with Homa Aalam. In his second marriage he was married to Manijeh Jahanbani since 1962. He has five children.
