Giancarlo Corsetti

Giancarlo Corsetti (born February 3, 1960 ) is an Italian economist and professor of macroeconomics at Cambridge University , and a fellow at Clare College . He previously held academic positions at the European University Institute in Florence , the University of Rome III and the Universities of Bologna , Yale and Columbia .

Life

Giancarlo Corsetti completed an undergraduate degree in economics at Università degli Studi di Roma Sapienza , ( Italy ) before obtaining an MA in Economics from New York University in 1988 . He then did his doctorate on Uncertainty, Policy and Growth at Yale University , where he was awarded a PhD in 1992.

In 2020 Corsetti was elected to the British Academy .
