Gianluca Hossmann (born March 25, 1991 in Winterthur ) is a Swiss football player .

Career

Hossmann started playing football at the age of five at FC Thusis-Cazis from the eastern Swiss canton of Graubünden . His talent was revealed in this rural environment, which is why he was able to switch to the Graubünden team at the age of twelve . This was an institution of the cantonal association for the promotion of talented young players. At the age of 15 he returned to the club sector and joined FC Winterthur , which was equivalent to returning to his hometown. Only one year later he was taken over into the youth department of the first division club Grasshopper Club Zurich . From the beginning of the 2009/10 season he received match practice with the second team of the Grasshoppers, with which he competed in the third highest division. Over time, he developed into one of the most important performers there and thus also came into focus for the professional team of the GC, for which he was on October 31, 2010 in a 0-1 defeat against BSC Young Boys in the top Swiss division debuted. The press certified the then 19-year-old for his commitment over the full 90 minutes a decent performance, although he could not stop Henri Bienvenu at the goal.

In the years after his debut, he was only very rarely considered by the professionals and continued to receive match practice in the second selection. Against this background, he was awarded to the second division club FC Biel-Bienne for the duration of the 2013/14 season . There he was called up much more often, but could not prevail permanently and returned to the Grasshoppers after the loan ended. At the end of the 2014/15 season, during which he had not made it past four contested games, his contract was not extended. He found a new employer in August 2015 in the German second division club MSV Duisburg , but was initially assigned to the second team. After only a few weeks, however, he moved up to the professional squad for the first time and was substituted on for Steffen Bohl on September 26, 2015 in a 2: 3 away defeat against 1. FC Union Berlin in the 78th minute , making his debut in the 2 . Bundesliga reached.

After relegating to the third division with Duisburg, he left the club in summer 2016 and subsequently played one season for the Swiss fourth division club FC Seefeld Zurich .
