Gianni Coveli (born July 31, 1970 in Stuttgart ) is a former German soccer player and today's soccer coach .

The midfielder began his career at TV Bempflingen and then moved to the Stuttgarter Kickers . Here he played in his youth and later as a second division professional. He played his first second division game on September 16, 1989 in a 4-1 home win against MSV Duisburg . Coveli's greatest success was reaching fourth place in the 2nd Bundesliga with the Stuttgarter Kickers in the 1989/90 season.

In 1991 Coveli moved to TSF Ditzingen ; 1993 to SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg , with which he was able to qualify for the newly created regional league .

At the end of his career, Gianni Coveli moved to TSV Schwieberdingen in the Landesliga Württemberg (6th division) in 1999 , where he initially worked as a player- coach. After the end of his active career in 2004, he led the club as head coach in the Württemberg League . In 2007 he was promoted to the Baden-Württemberg Oberliga .

On May 16, 2008 Gianni Coveli came back to a game in the league when he replaced himself in the 74th minute due to staff shortages in the game of TSV Schwieberdingen against SG Sonnenhof Großaspach .

In the 2008/09 season he coached the Bundesliga club SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg. From July 1st, 2009 he took over the sporting responsibility for the association league club FSV 08 Bissingen for two years . He has been the coach of 1. Göppinger SV since the 2014/2015 season
