The Giannini peak is around 1900 m high mountain in the eastern Palmer land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 22 km east-southeast of Mount Nordhill on the north flank of the Dana Glacier , where it turns in a north-easterly direction to Lehrke Inlet on the Black Coast .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it in 1974. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1976 after Albert P. Giannini, who worked as a biologist at the Palmer Station in 1973 .
